Liz Nehdi designs offer a spectacular expression of bold, invigorating colours, hypnotic patterns and gestural, painterly prints that are layered with meaning. These are complemented by the finest craftsmanship and luxurious textiles to create playful, distinctive and soulful accessories with an artistic heritage. Our brand aims to introduce a way of life that celebrates fun, creative expression, optimism, and the beautiful complexities of the global village in which we all live. Liz Nehdi Studio was founded in 2014 by Liz & Karim Morgan Nehdi.

The inaugural Spring/Summer 2015 collection of scarves and pocket squares draws from Liz’s inspirations as a painter, interpreting and distilling creative traditions from around the globe – from abstract expressionism, art naïf and aboriginal dot paintings to graffiti, Berber patterns, and psychedelia.

We are accepting wholesale orders for Spring/Summer 2015 through 14 November 2014. Please email liz@liznehdi.com for more information.

Gearing up for London Fashion Week

Liz Nehdi

Best of British Print Design According to Liz Nehdi

London Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow, but before the Autumn/Winter 2014 collections roll down the runways, I wanted to share a collage of looks from some of my favourite London-based designers.

Clearly I’m biased since I call London home, but I think this city boasts some of the most exciting surface pattern design talent around. If there’s one thing the designers featured in this collage have in common it’s their ability to create riotous and colourful patterns to boost our moods throughout the long, gray London winters.

What’s your preferred look here?

New York Fashion Week in Prints

Liz Nehdi

Liz Nehdi's favourite looks from NYFW

The fashion crowd will soon be shifting from New York to London for London Fashion Week, so before that happens, I’ve culled some of my favourite printed looks from the New York shows.

It should come as no surprise that looks from J Crew and Diane Von Furstenberg made it into this edit, given that they are some of my go-to designers. Mara Hoffman’s tribal inspired dresses are also some of my favourites, and this season’s designs, inspired by North Africa, did not disappoint.

Lela Rose and Suno offered some gorgeous striped looks. Libertine’s crazy pattern mixes make me smile and looks from Cynthia Rowley, Alice & Olivia and Rachel Comey round out my picks.

What’s your favourite look from this mix? Which one would you wear?

Young at Heart

Young at Heart: a collage by Liz Nehdi

Young at Heart: a collage by Liz Nehdi

I don’t have any kiddos of my own just yet, but I love bright colours and a playful aesthetic, so I find myself being drawn to kid’s clothes from time to time. Problem is, a lot of what’s out there in the realm of children’s wear is just too twee, as the Brits would say. Here’s a sampling of some of the brands that are doing it just right in my opinion: looks that are fun, playful and sometimes a little bit irreverent.

To all the moms and dads out there: what’s your favourite brand for your little ones?
