Liz Nehdi designs offer a spectacular expression of bold, invigorating colours, hypnotic patterns and gestural, painterly prints that are layered with meaning. These are complemented by the finest craftsmanship and luxurious textiles to create playful, distinctive and soulful accessories with an artistic heritage. Our brand aims to introduce a way of life that celebrates fun, creative expression, optimism, and the beautiful complexities of the global village in which we all live. Liz Nehdi Studio was founded in 2014 by Liz & Karim Morgan Nehdi.

The inaugural Spring/Summer 2015 collection of scarves and pocket squares draws from Liz’s inspirations as a painter, interpreting and distilling creative traditions from around the globe – from abstract expressionism, art naïf and aboriginal dot paintings to graffiti, Berber patterns, and psychedelia.

ABOUT LIZ NEHDI

Liz Nehdi is an American artist and designer based in London. She was born near Washington DC in 1982 and grew up in Bethesda MD. She studied at Miss Porter's School (USA), Dartmouth College (USA) and the University of the Arts London (UK) - Chelsea College of Art & Design and Central Saint Martins - and holds received a BA in Studio Art with Honors and an MA in Textile Design with Distinction.

Liz travels extensively and has lived in the United States, United Kingdom, France and Singapore.

The ancient Greeks may have had 3 muses but here at Liz Nehdi, there are 4 inspirational women behind our most recent collection. Read on to meet our muses + explore the inspiration behind our designs.

Brigitte Bardot is a stunning starlet who knows how to rock a headscarf. This encouraged us to put our own colourful spin on the classic look.

Frida Kahlo, an artistic visionary, dared us to work with a vibrant colour palette. We explored different shades and floral designs to create beautiful, lively patterns.  

Grace Jones, a bold trend setter who puts her personality into everything she wears, inspires us to express our originality.

Jackie Kennedy Onassis was the queen of class and she taught us that simplicity is the truest form of sophistication. We included elements of elegance and classic colours to capture her prestige.

We’ll be diving into more details on how each of these iconic women inspired our collection in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, we’d love to hear from you.

#LizLoves April 2016: London calling, inspiration from Porto + summer holidays pre-party

After several months in the U.S., we’re back in Europe. We’ve been busy in our Notting Hill studio working on new products, managing production of our SS16 collection and preparing for our upcoming summer holidays pre-party, but have been sure to take a break every now and again to enjoy new watering holes that popped up while we were out of the country.

We also recently visited Porto to meet with some of our manufacturers and took the opportunity to photograph the gorgeous tiles, colours and vignettes all over the city.
